HomeMy WebLinkAboutR20-090 Appointments to the E911 Telephone Service Authority Board DocuSign Envelope ID:2691EE84-27BA-42FC-865C-C3F45B580CF8 Commissioner McQueeney moved adoption of the following Resolution: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO RESOLUTION NO 2020- 090 RESOLUTION CONCERNING APPOINTMENTS TO THE E911 TELEPHONE SERVICE AUTHORITY BOARD WHEREAS, pursuant to the Amended Intergovernmental Agreement Concerning the Implementation of an E911 Telephone Service (the"IGA"), the Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County ("BoCC") is to appoint members to the Board of Directors of the Emergency Telephone Service Authority Board(the"Authority Board"); and WHEREAS,Authority Board members serve in a volunteer capacity,with staggered two- year terms; and WHEREAS,on March 10, 2020,the BoCC appointed Chris Montera to fill a vacancy on the Authority Board, with a term to expire March 31, 2021; and WHEREAS, Chris Montera has changed positions and retired from the Authority Board; and WHEREAS, the BoCC wishes to appoint Jim Bradford to fill Chris Montera's position for the remainder of the vacancy term, and to reappoint Jim Bradford to serve an additional term ending March 31, 2023. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO: THAT, Jim Bradford shall be appointed to the Authority Board to fill the vacancy spot previously held by Chris Montera, and for an additional term expiring March 31, 2023. THAT,Authority Board members terms shall be established, as follows: Jim Bradford—term to expire March 31, 2023 Kevin Kromer—term to expire March 31, 2022 Mark Novak—term to expire March 31, 2022 Karen Wojtko—term to expire March 31, 2022 DocuSign Envelope ID:2691EE84-27BA-42FC-865C-C3F45B580CF8 THAT, the appointments set forth herein do not constitute a contractual obligation of the County of Eagle County or the Authority Board, and no party is legally bound for the respective term of appointment as specified herein, the County having the authority in its sole discretion to change, add or abolish such appointment and to fill vacancies as it sees fit. THAT, on behalf of Eagle County and all parties to the IGA, the BoCC expresses its gratitude and appreciation to Chris Montera for his volunteer service on the Authority Board, and to all current Authority Board members for their ongoing service. THAT, the Board of County Commissioners finds determines and declares that this Resolution is necessary for the public health safety and welfare of the citizens of the County of Eagle State of Colorado.
