HomeMy WebLinkAboutR92-048 Kevin Lindahl power of attorney to execute purchase documents for Schmidt propertyCommissioner 7"�S moved adoption of the following Resolution- BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO RESOLUTION NO. 92- - GRANTING KEVIN LINDAHL POWER OF ATTORNEY TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS RELATIVE TO THE PURCHASE OF THE SCHMIDT PROPERTY WHEREAS, on or about August 27, 1991, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Eagle, State of Colorado (herein- after "the Board "), entered into an Agreement ( "Agreement ") with Glenn E. Schmidt, Betty Jo Schmidt and Jack E. Schmidt ( "Sellers ") for the purchase and sale of certain property ad- jacent to the Eagle County Regional Airport, described as follows: Parcel #2111- 033 -00 -011, Schedule #0021383, a parcel in Tracts 59 and 61, and Sections 3 and 4, Township 5 South, Range 85 West of the 6th Principal Meridian, more particularly described in Exhibit " A " attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. WHEREAS, the Board and the Sellers have agreed to close the transaction by mail; and WHEREAS, the Board desires to appoint its County Attorney, Kevin Lindahl, as its attorney -in -fact to perform all acts and execute any and all documents reasonably incidental to the pur- chase and sale of the property which is the subject of the Agree- ment, and according to the provisions of the Agreement. NOW, THEN, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMIS- SIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO: THAT, Kevin Lindahl is hereby granted power of attorney to act as attorney -in -fact for the County of Eagle, State of Colorado, and its Board of County Commissioners; to perform all acts and execute any and all documents necessary to effect the conveyance of the subject property. THAT, the Chairman of the Board is authorized to execute a Power of Attorney for the purposes contemplated herein. All bearings contained herein being relative to a bearing of S 00 degrees 21 W on a line from Angle Point No. 1 of said Tract 59 (Aluminum Monument) and the Witness Corner for Angle Point No. 3 of Tract 57 in said Township and Range (G.L.O. Brass Cap).
