RESOLUTION NO 2020- 086
A RESOLUTION CONCERNING APPOINTMENT OF
PATRICIA HAMMON AS EAGLE COUNTY'S
VETERANS SERVICE OFFICER
WHEREAS, Colorado Revised Statutes § 28-5-801 et seq. mandates that the board of
county commissioners of each county in the state appoint a veterans service officer for such county
for a two(2)year term on such terms and conditions as each county may determine are appropriate;
and
WHEREAS, Eagle County has determined that Patricia Hammon is a person duly
qualified to hold appointment by the County as its Veterans Service Officer; and
WHEREAS, Eagle County desires to appoint Patricia Hammon as Eagle County's
Veterans Service Officer to serve in this position from January 1, 2020 through December 31,
2021; and
WHEREAS, Patricia Hammon has agreed to accept the appointment as Eagle County's
Veterans Service Officer.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE,STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the Board of County Commissioners hereby appoints and confirms Patricia
Hammon as its Veterans Service Officer to serve in such capacity and on such terms and conditions
as the Board may deem appropriate for a two (2) year term commencing on January 1, 2020 and
terminating on December 31, 2021; and
THAT, the Board of County Commissioners finds determines and declares that this
Resolution is necessary for the public health safety and welfare of the citizens of the County of
Eagle, State of Colorado.
