BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 92 -
DECLARING THE WEEK OF APRIL 5 - 11, 1992
WEEK OF THE YOUNG CHILD
WHEREAS, the Early Childhood programs of Eagle County and other local
organizations, in conjunction with the National Association for the Education of Young
Children, is celebrating the Week of the Young Child, April 5 to 11, 1992; and
WHEREAS, by calling attention to the need for quality child care for all young children
and families within our community, these groups hope to improve the quality and
availability of such services; and
WHEREAS, the quality of services is primarily determined by the individual teachers
and caregivers who perform this valuable work; and
WHEREAS, the work of early childhood professional is not fully understood and is
understood and is under appreciated; and
WHEREAS, quality child care services can provide the basis for a good beginning for
children's sound growth and development;
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County urge all citizens to
recognize the valuable contributions of early childhood teachers and caregivers and
to actively support the need for more and better child care within our community;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that The Board of Commissioners, Eagle
County State of Colorado, do hereby designate the week of April 5 -11, 1992 as Week
of the Young Child within the County of Eagle.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of the
County of Eagle, state of Colorado, at its regular meeting held the - 36*. - - day of
