BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONER
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 2020 061
RESOLUTION DESIGNATING AUGUST 2020
AS CHILD SUPPORT SERVICES MONTH
WHEREAS, Eagle County's children need the emotional and financial support of both
parents; and
WHEREAs, the support of parents, extended families, and the community helps
children grow into healthy productive adults, and
WHEREAS, Eagle County is committed to promoting the health and wellbeing of all our
children by providing a variety of child support services to help ensure that parents pay child
support on a regular and timely basis;
WHEREAS, the payment of child support contributes to improved parental-child
relationships, improved educational attainment of children, and a reduced reliance on public
assistance program; and
WHEREAS, this month we salute those parents who support their children and honor
the three child support professionals who assisted our Eagle County families last year; and
WHEREAS, Eagle County wishes to educate families about the availability of child
support services and to continuously enhance the services that it provides;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the month of August 2020 be proclaimed
Child Support Services Month in Eagle County
THAT,the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is
necessary for the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the County of Eagle,
State of Colorado.
