BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 92 - 17
AUTHORIZING PUBLIC AUCTION OF PERSONAL PROPERTY
OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
WHEREAS, C.R.S. 30- 11- 101(1)(c) and (e), and C.R.S. 30-11 -
107(1)(a) and (e), empower the Board of County Commissioners of
the County of Eagle, State of Colorado (hereinafter referred to
as the "Board ") to sell, convey, or exchange personal property
owned by Eagle County, and to make such order respecting the
same as may be deemed conducive to the interests of the inhab-
itants; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to sell at a public auction
certain personal property owned by Eagle County (hereinafter
referred to as the "Property "), for the reason that the intended
purpose and use of the Property by Eagle County no longer
exists; and
WHEREAS, certain items of the Property are valued at more
than $500 each, and are described in Exhibit " A " attached hereto
and incorporated herein by this reference; and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to sell approximately 450 to 500
additional items of Property which are each valued at below
$500.00, and which consist generally of furniture and fixtures;
and
WHEREAS, the Board desires to schedule a public auction for
the sale and disposition of the Property.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the Board hereby authorizes the disposition of the
Property described hereinabove, and directs the Eagle County
Buildings and Grounds Supervisor to solicit bids from
Auctioneers to conduct said sale on a date mutually agreed upon
by the successful bidder and the Buildings and Grounds
Supervisor.
THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that
this Resolution is necessary for the health, safety and welfare
of the residents of Eagle County.
