Chairman Chandler-Henry added her thanks to all the teams throughout the county and the Epi Team who were investigating every one of the positive cases. She gave a special thank you to the Communications Team who was working harder than usual to make sure that everyone in the community got information. People could go to ecemergency.org for information on positive cases and the number of people feeling symptoms. There were also forms to apply for assistance if help was needed through these difficult times. County Manager Updates The Emergency Operations room continued to be staffed on a full-time basis with primarily Public Health. The crew was minimal to maintain social distancing requirements. Within the entire county operations there were few folks in buildings on a day-to-day basis. He thanked the community for rising up and practicing social distancing. At this time it was important to get a handle on home transmission. If people were in large households or had roommates, it was important to practice self-isolation if anyone showed symptoms of illness and increase household cleaning practices. The President made an announcement that it would be April 30th before the country would start to see a release. The Public Heath Order from Eagle County went through April the 17th,the State of Colorado,April 11`h. He expected that there would be a new announcement from the Governor within a week and then a new order from Eagle County Public Health would follow suit. He didn't expect many changes in terms of the order itself other than the dates and continuing to practice good social distancing. The county was receiving questions from business owners regarding social distancing. There were still a lot of comments on Facebook that were not true and he encouraged people to visit One Valley Voice, ecemergency.org, or eaglecounty.us if they had questions or were looking for up-to-date COVID-19 information.
