RESOLUTION
OF THE
BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION N0. 81- =°~.3
PUBLIC WORKS FUND -AMENDMENT THERETO
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of the
County of Eagle, Colorado, hereinafter referred to as the
"Board", by Resolution dated November 7, 1977, created the
Public Works Fund and established a tax levy therefore; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 30-25-202(4), C.R,S. 1973,
as amended, the Board desires to hold a public hearing to
consider changes to the purposes for which the Public Works
Fund may be expended; and
WHEREAS, notice of the aforesaid public hearing before
the Board was duly given by publication in the Eagle Valley
Enterprise.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County
Commissioners of the County of Eagle, Colorado:
THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares
that the purposes of the Public Works Fund be changed to
include the development, maintenance and operation of the
following mass transportation systems, and the construction
and acquisition of, additions to, or to supplement bond issues
for the following public buildings at estimated costs as set
forth herein:

B. Alternate II (utilization of County
fairgrounds)
- site improvements $ 500,000.00

- construction costs. $ 7,300,000.00
- renovation and remodeling
existing facilities $ 900,000.00
2) Expansion of County airport
- land acquisition. $ 3,500,000.00
- terminal building $ 350,000.00
- miscellaneous equipment $ 350,000.00
- runway overlay. $ 8,500,000.00
3) Mass Transportation System
- Vail . $ 15 ,220.00
- Pitkin County $ 15,000.00
4) County Senior Citzens' Housing Project
- construction costs $ 1,720,000.00
5) County Senior Citizens' Center
- architecture/engineering costs. $ 750,000.00
- construction costs. $ 1,150,000.00
6) New County Library Facility
(existing County complex site)
- architecture/engineering costs. $ 50,000.00
- construction costs. $ 750,000.00
7) Expansion of existing County facilities $ 500,000.00
8) Debt Service calculated at twenty-one
(21) years $ 2,775,000.00
TOTAL ESTIMATED COSTS UTILIZING
ALTERNATIVE 1 UNDER SECTION 1 $ 26,190,220.00

THAT, revenues in the estimated amount of $ 24,771,785.00
derived from sources other than property taxation shall be
used to off-set the estimated expenditures and costs of the
aforesaid public works; and
THAT, based upon the foregoing, the revenues to be
derived from the Public Works Fund shall be in the estimated
amount of $ 1,418,435.00.
THAT, there shall be an annual tax levy for the Public
Works Fund in the amount of Sixty-four Hundreds and Zero Thousands
(.64) of one (1) mill.
THAT, the aforesaid tax levy shall be for a period
of five (5) years.
THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares
that this Resolution is in the best interests of and for the
public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of Eagle
County and the State of Colorado.
MOVED, READ AND UNANIMOUSLY ADOPTED at a regular
meeting of the Board of County Commissioners of the County
of Eagle, Colorado, held this '''~ day of December, 1981.
