RESOULUTION
OF
THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION N0. 81 -~
COMMITh1ENT TO THE TOWN OF VAIL FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE IN CONSTRUCTION
OF INTERMOUfJTAIN BRIDGE
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners, County of Eagle, State
of Colorado, has duly budgeted monies for fiscal year 1981 in the Road
and Bridge Fund for rehabilitation, reconstruction, or construction of a
vehicular bridge spanning Gore Creek in the Intermountain area near the
swimming pool; and
WHEREAS, voters in the Intermountain and West Vail area approved an
annexation issue on December 9, 1980 to become a part of the incorporated
Town of Vail; and
UJHEREAS, the Town Council of the Town of Vail passed an ordinance
on December 16, 1980, accepting the annexation effective December 31,
1980; and
WHEREAS, the Town of Vail has represented to Eagle County that Town
funds are not available for the Intermountain Bridge project in fiscal
year 1981 because of the timing of the annexation; and
WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has made a moral commitment
to the residents of the Intermountain area to upgrade the above mentioned
bridge.
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Board of County Commissioners,
County of Eagle, State of Colorado.
THAT, the County of Eagle will pay the Town of Vail the actual costs
or One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars 0150,000.00), whichever is less,
for the rehibilitation, reconstruction or construction of the Inter-
mountain Bridge.
THAT, the Board finds, determines and declares that this Resolution
is necessary for the public health, safety and welfare of the citizens of
the County of Eagle, State of Colorado.

meeting of the Board of County Commissioners Cou ty of Eagle, State o~
