The Vnited States Department of Agrioulature,
Bureau of Public Roads has designated certain sections
Of State Highway No. 91t known as Projeet W B•l
and C-1. Route 33, Loveland «Fremont Pass Highway,
for improvements and bridge changes, and,.
WHEREAS:
The Bureau has the sum of sixty eight
thousand dollars (068,000) available for these
Proposed improvements, and,

The Present road between Kokomo te fol-
lows very much the course of theTenMile Cre
that is, along the bottom of the canon to Robinson
Flats, it is narrow, crooked, and dangerous,, with the
number of trucks now passing over this road, also the
road across Robinson Flats is very hard to maintain
during the winter on account of the drifting of the
snow,
VEEREAS I
The Board of County Commissioners of Summit
County, Colorado, at its meeting held on the
7th and 8th day of February, A.D. 1938 decided that a
greater benefit to the traveling public as well as
the community of Kokomo and Climax Colorado, would .
be derived if the Bureau would transfer these funds
for the construction of a new road between Kokomo
and Climax, (the survey for this road already having
been made) and,
WHEREAS:
The State Highway Department has at various
times had Federal monies available for road building
Purposes providing certain percentages will be met
by the State Highway Department or County, and,

Summit County is in a position whereby it
oar_ arrange to most a portion of the construction
costs of this proposed change between Kokomo and
Climax„ now,
Therefore, Be it Resolveds that, The Board of
County Commissioners respectfully request the
Bureau of Public Roads, and tire Charles D. Vail
as State Highway Engineer of Colorado, to take what
action is necessary to insure the change of funds
as requested and endeavor to have the necessary
appropriation made to build this piece of road.
