WHEREAS, it appearing to the Board of County Vom- missioners of Eagle County, State of Colorado, that the land in Eagle County, and particularly that part of said County known as Eagle Valley, is rich in mineral deposits, and that a great part of said Valley is adaptable to placer mining,and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the Board of County Commissioners that a geological report of said land would be of immense help in bringing miners, prospectors and others who would 'be interested in mining, into said Eagle County, whereby said mineral deposits would be explored and worked, thereby adding to the wealth of Eagle County and to the State of Colorado; BOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the School of Mines of the State of Colorado, be and hereby is requested to make a report on the Geological features of Eagle Valley from Pando to Gypsum, with special regard and reference to the placer deposits in said Valley. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that a copy of this Resolu- tion be sent to Victor C.Alderson, President of the School of mines, Golden, Colorado, and a copy spread upon the minutes of this meeting. • Passed, Adopted, Signed and Approved, this 2nd day of February, A.D.1925.
