70.4 kilowatt Solar Photovoltaic rooftop system at the Snow Removal Equipment Building at the Eagle County

building for cost savings of approximately$8,500 per year.
John Gitchell provided some background on solar usage in Eagle County. There were currently seven
rooftop systems at various county locations. The county had invested$5.3 million dollars over the past 10 years in
solar rooftops as well as community solar projects. The county was earning a return of roughly$350,000 per year
and reduced utility costs. Green Electrical Solutions was based out of Basalt; Jay Bure and Chris Tezanos were
present to answer any questions.
Mr. Gitchell stated that the system would be installed this spring. A study on reflectivity was done and was
approved by the FAA as part of the RFP process.
Chairman Chandler-Henry believed solar was a good investment for the county.
