HomeMy WebLinkAbout2020 Extension of Emergency BGMDRESOLUTION OF BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF BACHELOR GULCH METROPOLITAN DISTRICT EXTENSION OF DECLARATION OF LOCAL DISASTER EMERGENCY WHEREAS, the Governor of the State of Colorado has declared a statewide emergency regarding the occurrence or imminent threat of widespread or severe damage, injury or loss of life or property resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic; and WHEREAS, it is in the public interest for the District to have emergency resources available to work to safeguard the health and safety of the community; and WHEREAS, pursuant C.R.S. § 24-33.5-709 the District's Manager is authorized to declare a local disaster emergency; and WHEREAS, the effect of the declaration of a local disaster emergency is to activate the response and recovery aspects of any and all applicable local and interjurisdictional disaster emergency plans and to authorize the furnishing of aid and assistance under such plans; and WHEREAS, on March 20, 2020, the District's Manager declared a local disaster emergency for Bachelor Gulch as a result of the imminent threat caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. NOW, THEREFORE, THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF BACHELOR GULCH METROPOLITAN DISTRICT RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The District's Manager's March 20, 2020 Declaration of Local Disaster Emergency is hereby continued to and including 12 3 l 2020 as permitted pursuant to C.R.S. § 24-33.5-709, due to the imminent threat caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The Manager is directed to continue implementing measures with respect to District employees and access to certain District owned facilities. SO RESOLVED this 25"` day of March, 2020.
