BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO 2020-0V V
RESOLUTION CONCERNING APPOINTMENTS TO THE E911 TELEPHONE
SERVICE AUTHORITY BOARD
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Amended Intergovernmental Agreement Concerning the
Implementation of an E911 Telephone Service (the "IGA"), the Board of County Commissioners
of Eagle County ("BoCC") is to appoint members to the Board of Directors of the Emergency
Telephone Service Authority Board(the "Authority Board"); and
WHEREAS, Authority Board members serve in a volunteer capacity, with staggered
two-year terms; and
WHEREAS, there are currently two vacancies on the Authority Board and the terms of
three existing board members, Tom Denboske, Mark Novak, and Karen Wojtko, will expire
March 31, 2020; and
WHEREAS, Mark Novak and Karen Wojtko wish to be reappointed for additional two-
year terms; and
WHEREAS, Tom Denboske wishes to retire from the Authority Board after 21 years of
volunteer service; and
WHEREAS, the BoCC desires to express gratitude to Tom Denboske for his years of
service, make certain appointments to fill vacancies in, and to reappoint Mr. Novak and Ms.
Wojtko to, the Authority Board; and
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, Authority Board members shall be appointed, with terms established, as follows:
Chris Montera—term to expire March 31, 2021
Kevin Kromer—term to expire March 31, 2022
Mark Novak—term to expire March 31, 2022
Karen Wojtko—term to expire March 31, 2022
THAT, the appointments set forth herein do not constitute a contractual obligation of the
County of Eagle County or the Authority Board, and no party is legally bound for the respective
term of appointment as specified herein, the County having the authority in its sole discretion to
change, add or abolish such appointment and to fill vacancies as it sees fit.
THAT, on behalf of Eagle County and all parties to the IGA, the BoCC expresses its
gratitude and appreciation to Tom Denboske for 21 years of volunteer service on the Authority
Board.
THAT, the BoCC will fill the vacancy created by Mr. Denboske's retirement when a
qualified candidate is recruited and available.
THAT, the Board of County Commissioners finds determines and declares that this
Resolution is necessary for the public health safety and welfare of the citizens of the County of
Eagle State of Colorado.
MOVED READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of the County of
Eagle, State of Colorado at its regular meeting held thelplifday of 4&144r#LL(+ , 2020.
