Chairman McQueeney seconded the motion. Of the two voting Commissioners, the vote was declared unanimous. County Board of Equalization - Eagle County Room 1. Resolution 2019- 052 Regarding Petitions to the Eagle County Board of Equalization 8-5-19 Rhea Silverkorn,Administration Executive Summary: Taxpayers who chose to appeal Eagle County Assessor's 2019 valuation(identified on the list of CBOE appeals attached hereto as Exhibit"A") were set for hearing before the Board of County Commissioners of Eagle County, organized and convened as the County Board of Equalization for the purposes of adjusting, equalizing, raising or lowering the valuation for assessment of real and personal property within this county, fixed and made by the County Assessor for the year 2019.The Board appointed independent Referees to conduct hearings and to make findings and submit recommendations to the County Board of Equalization for its final action, based upon testimony and evidence presented by the Petitioners and the Assessor's representatives with regard to said petitions.The Referees have recommended adjustments of value or no adjustment of value or the parties have stipulated to a value with respect to those petitions identified. The signatures of the Board are requested upon consideration and approval of the recommendations of the referees. Rhea Silverkorn stated that the County Board of Equalization over the last month received 940 appeals. The hearing officers made decisions on this final round of appeals, and today, the board was finalizing its recommendations. Commissioner Chandler-Henry moved to approve the Resolution Regarding Petitions to the Eagle County Board of Equalization 8-5-19. Chairman McQueeney seconded the motion. Of the two voting Commissioners,the vote was declared unanimous. 2. Resolution 2019-053 to Correct and Equalize Property Valuation in Eagle County Rhea Silverkorn,Administration Executive Summary: This is a resolution to correct and equalize property valuation on schedule number R066386 in Eagle County. This account was missed during the reappraisal process. The parcel was split off from another parcel and then sold and was not correctly valued based on the 1/1/2019 attributes.The undervaluation was brought 1 08/05/2019 to the Assessor's attention by the agenda for the adjoining property as an equity concern. The Assessor's Office is requesting this change in order to correct the equity issue relative to neighboring property. Kathy Parker, Assistant County Attorney, explained that the Board of Equalization served the function of equalizing the values of properties. The Assessor found one property that he determined was significantly undervalued and this resolution would equalize the value of it to the properties near it of similar value. Commissioner Chandler-Henry moved to approve the Resolution to Correct and Equalize Property Valuation in Eagle County. Chairman McQueeney seconded the motion. The vote was declared unanimous. Commissioner Chandler-Henry moved to adjourn as the Eagle County Housing Authority and re-convene as the Eagle County Board of County Commissioners. Chairman McQueeney seconded the motion. Of the two voting Commissioners,the vote was declared unanimous.
