Basalt and Eagle County are vulnerable to elevated flood risk caused by the debris and mudflows originating from heavy rainfall on the burn scar. The six raingauges will be used in real time by emergency managers to assess real-time threats to the area. Performance Period: This scope is valid for services performed during the period from the date of contract signature through December 31, 2019. Funds Recipient: The work will be administered by Eagle County (County). The work will be performed by the United States Geological Survey (USGS). The County is the recipient of the funds under this scope of work. The total compensation by the CWCB shall not exceed $50,000. Additional costs shall be borne by the County or others. Summary of Requested Work: For the above-mentioned objective, specific duties to be performed are as follows: Task 1: Install, operate, and maintain 6 raingauges in the Lake Christine burn. The raingauges shall be connected to the National Weather Service in Grand Junction and to the Eagle County Emergency Management office. This work shall be done according to standard USGS specifications and standards. Total Cost of Task 1: $50,000 Completion of Work/Payment Schedule: Funds will be provided on a fixed price basis to the funds recipient for project activities upon receipt of invoice following installation of the raingauges. Invoices for all project costs must be received December 31, 2019. Deliverables: Flow values and other information captured by the streamgauge will be available on the USGS website for use by CWCB, emergency managers, and other interested users.
