COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO
RESOLUTION NO. 2017- Qty
RESOLUTION FOR THE APPROVAL OF UPDATED FARES AND BUS PASS RATES FOR
ECO TRANSIT
WHEREAS, Resolution No. 96-22 (the "Resolution") created by Eagle County
Regional Transportation Authority (the "Authority") for the purpose of development and
oversight of the policies related to the operation and maintenance of a mass
transportation system in Eagle County (the "Mass Transit System"); and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the Resolution, the County considers the implementation
of all reasonable recommendations it receives from the Authority; and
WHEREAS, operation of the Mass Transit System is primarily funded by sales-tax
collections and fares; and
WHEREAS, in 2004, 2009 and 2013 the Authority recommended, and the
County implemented, a fare increase as necessary and in the public's best interest in
order to ensure the continued operations of the Mass Transit System; and
WHEREAS, The Authority recommended on November 8, 2017, that the County
offer a reduced fare of $85 from $100 for the 30-day Regular Pass in order to provide
more flexible fare options for the ridership of Eagle County; and
WHEREAS, the County wishes to adopt the recommendations of the Authority.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS
OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT, the Board hereby adopts the ECO Transit Fare and Buss Pass Rate Sheet
attached hereto as Exhibit A.
THAT, the Board hereby finds, determines and declares that this Resolution is
necessary for the public health, safety and welfare of the residents of the County of
Eagle, State of Colorado.
MOVED, READ AND ADOPTED by the Board of County Commissioners of the
County of Eagle, State of Colorado, at its regular meeting held the ci 114 day of
December, 2017.
