AGREEMENT BETWEEN
CSU JUDGING TEAM
AND
THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO

THIS AGREEMENT, made this day of A , 1997, by and between
the County of Eagle, State of Colorado (hereinafter referred to A "County"), by and through
its Board of County Commissioners/Fair Board; and Chris Mullinix for CSU Judging Team.
WHEREAS, the County desires to engage the CSU Judging Team to judge the
Livestock (beef, sheep, swine) held on July 31, August 1 and 2, 1997.
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual covenants and agreements
contained herein, the parties hereto agree as follows:
1. The County represents it is duly authorized to enter into this Agreement pursuant
to Sections 30-11-101, 10-11-103, and 30-11-107, C.R.S., as amended.
2. Chris Mullinix for CSU Judging Team represents that he is duly authorized to
enter into this agreement for its intended purposes.
COMPENSATION:
3. County shall pay the sum of Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00) plus three (3) meals
per day. County will provide lodging for three people for the dates of July 30 - August 2,
1997. County will also reimburse CSU Judging Team for mileage.
4. CSU Judging Team estimates round-trip mileage to be 3,1570

5. This agreement does not create an employee/employer relationship between the
parties. It is the parties' intention that the CSU Judging Team will be an independent
contractor and not an employee of Eagle County for all purposes, including, but not limited
to, the application of the Fair Labor Standards Act minimum wage and overtime payments,
Federal Insurance Contribution Act, the Social Security Act, the Federal Unemployment Tax
Act, the provisions of the Internal Revenue Code, Colorado Revenue and Tax laws, Colorado
Worker's Compensation law and the Colorado Unemployment Insurance laws.
6. The Eagle County Fair and the judge, while performing their duties, shall abide
by the rules and regulations of the local 4-11 and State 4-H project materials where
applicable. The Danish system will be used.
