A RESOLUTION PROCLAIMING DECEMBER 5,2017
AS"COLORADO GIVES DAY"
WHEREAS,charitable giving in Eagle County is critical to providing support that local
nonprofit organizations need to make our community a desirable place to live; and
WHEREAS,Community First Foundation and First Bank have partnered in an effort to
increase charitable giving in our community through the online giving initiative Colorado Gives
Day; and
WHEREAS,Colorado Gives Day in 2016 raised over a million dollars in a single 24-
hour period via online donations at eaglecogives.org, a website allowing donors to direct their
contributions to one or more of the 42 local charities featured on the site, making it an ideal
resource for facilitating charitable giving to our local nonprofit organizations.
WHEREAS,Colorado Gives Day is December 5th this year, and all citizens are
encouraged to participate because all donations, large or small,can make a difference to
nonprofits in need.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT PROCLAIMED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS FOR EAGLE COUNTY,STATE OF COLORADO:
THAT,Tuesday,December 5, 2017, will be known as Colorado Gives Day in our
community.
THAT this Resolution is necessary for the health,safety and welfare of the people of
Eagle County,Colorado.

MOVED,READ AND ADOPTED by the Eagle County Board of County Commissioners,at
its regular meeting held this 14th day of November,2017.
