These new convenient procedures are covered in this letter. Your purchase order # 11704 which covers service provided under contract 495704 , is due to expire -on Dec 31, 1997. I am sending you this early reminder so that you will have plenty of time to process your renewal. Let me assure you that the first-rate repair service for your Data General system will continue, without interruption, under the terms of your Hardware Service Agreement. Until you instruct me differently, I will continue to invoice your service contract against your existing purchase order. I am enclosing some information which will help you to extend your existing purchase order or generate a new one. The current Contract Configuration Sheet provides a detailed list of your equipment and the service coverage you now have. Please observe that for certain terminals and keyboards, on-call and on-site select service will be replaced by our new Express Swap service, effective on your contract renewal date. When you place a service request through 1-800-344-3577 for a terminal or keyboard, Express Swap service provides overnight delivery of a replacement unit. After you install the replacement unit, you return the replaced unit to us. Data General will pay shipping both ways, and provide installation assistance by telephone. The change to Express Swap service allows Data General to provide consistent service for terminals and keyboards throughout the U.S., and to control the cost increases that are reflected in our charges to you. All you have to coo is to complete the enclosed Contract Penewal Sheet. Please -indicate whether you want to continue using your existing purchase order number or will be issuing a new one. In the latter case, we'd be happy to have you either include your new purchase order or just fill in the number and send the hard copy later. You also can make changes on the Contract Renewal Sheet.
