HomeMy WebLinkAboutR17-006 Workforce Development Board Commissioner til-gawp - moved adoption of the following Resolution: BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO RESOLUTION NO. 2017- Ob(D RESOLUTION OF THE EAGLE COUNTY BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS APPROVING APPOINTMENTS OF MEMBERS TO THE RURAL RESORT SUB AREA WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT BOARD, IDENTIFYING COMMISSIONER REPRESENTATIVES and APPOINTING THE STATE OF COLORADO AS THE OPERATOR OF THE WORKFORCE CENTERS IN THE RURAL RESORT AREA. WHEREAS, Eagle, Garfield, Pitkin, Lake and Summit Counties have previously agreed to be the Rural Resort Workforce Sub Area for local service delivery, planning and administrative purposes of the One-Stop System; and WHEREAS, the counties identified above have previously established the Rural Resort Sub Area Workforce Development Board; and WHEREAS, it is necessary for the counties to annually appoint members and Local Elected Officials (LEDs) to the Rural Resort Workforce Development Board to ensure that the responsibilities outlined in the Rural Resort Workforce Development Board's Plan are carried out; and to appoint a Chief Local Elected Official (CLEO) for the Area, and to identify a provider of One-Stop Services, and NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF THE COUNTY OF EAGLE, STATE OF COLORADO: 1. THAT, Eagle County Commissioner Jeanne McQueeney is hereby appointed as the Local Elected Official to represent the Eagle County Board of County Commissioners to the Rural Resort Workforce Development Board. 3. THAT, Garfield County Commissioner Tom Jankovsky is hereby appointed as the Chief Local Elected Official and the Rural Resort Workforce Development Board's representative on the Colorado Rural Workforce Consortium Board of Local Elected Officials. 4. THAT, the State of Colorado Department of Labor and Employment is appointed as the sole operator of the Workforce Centers in the Rural Resort Colorado Sub Area.
