This being a scheduled Public Hearing,the following items were presented to the Board of County
Commissioners for their consideration:
Commissioner Updates
Commissioner Chandler-Henry spoke about the work done by county employees a year ago on the build for
Habitat for Humanity in Gypsum. The six homes built were dedicated on Saturday. She congratulated the families
and thanked Habitat for Humanity for their work in the community.
Chairman McQueeney made a general announcement about the summer break beginning for kids. She
asked that people be aware of the kid traffic and be safe.

1. Resolution 2016-043 Approving the Format for the 2016 Election Intergovernmental Agreement for
Political Subdivisions and Authorizing the Chair of the Board of County Commissioners to Execute the
Intergovernmental Agreement for Participation in the 2016 General November Mail Ballot Election

Commissioner Chandler-Henry mentioned the appointments to the Basalt Regional Library District. She
thanked the people that stepped up to serve on various boards.
Chairman McQueeney spoke about the contract on the agenda for the Early Head Start Services. As she sat
on the Family Learning Center board she wondered if the item should be pulled and voted on at a later date.
Mr. Treu stated that because she served as an agent to the Family Learning Center,he suggested that the
item be pulled and voted on at the next meeting when there would be three board members.
Commissioner Chandler-Henry asked Mr. Sprunk to provide an overview on the Eagle River Outdoor
Movement Coalition Project.
Mr. Sprunk stated that Walking Mountains was approached by Great Outdoors Colorado(GOCO)last year.
The project would connect children to nature and educational opportunities. Walking Mountains was not an
eligible recipient of GOCO funds and Eagle County would serve as the fiscal agent for the grant.
Commissioner Chandler-Henry moved to approve the Consent Agenda for May 24, 2016, as presented
excluding item 8.
Chairman McQueeney seconded the motion. Of the two voting Commissioners,the vote was declared
unanimous.
