Re:Proposal for Detention Center Remodel-Booking t Control
Dear Mr.Ullom:
We are pleased to present this proposal from Reilly Johnson Architecture for the remodeling of the
Booking area and Central Control within the existing detention center. This proposal is based on the
concept drawings that RJA prepared, dated April 23,2014,including drawing Al-First Floor Detention
Demolition Plan, and drawing A2-First Floor Detention Intake Plan. RJA is responsible for the
architecture part of the project,Cator Ruma&Associates will be responsible for plumbing, electrical,
and security electronics design.
Not Included in the concept drawings, but to be part of the construction documents, will be the
construction of a new hand sink. This proposal assumes that there are no changes required to the
mechanical system,or to the fire protection or fire alarm systems. This proposal assumes that existing
systems all have the capacity for the proposed work. Construction Document drawings will be
developed utilizing Autocad. Reimbursable expenses are in addition to the proposed fee. RJA trips to
the site during construction will generally be piggybacked on another project on the west slope, helping
to reduce reimbursable expenses.
Scope of work Includes the following:
• Site visit from RJA and Cator Ruma to determine existing conditions.
• Construction documents, including specifications and drawings
• Submittal to local building department and assistance with procurement of building permit.
• Assistance with contractor selection, answering questions during bidding.
• Construction administration. Cator Ruma will provide one site punch list visit. RJA will provide 3
site visits during construction. Typical construction administration activities such as answering
RFI's,submittal review, site visit reports, and punch lists are included.
