Program Description Eagle County Volunteer Center is the first program in Eagle County to provide a volunteer management structure for multiple non-profits in the county. This is accomplished by forming partnerships with local non-profits to promote voluntary service, especially inter-generational service, which strengthens the fabric of our community. The need was determined through research identified in the currently operating RSVP (retired and senior volunteer program) grant and by a community network of non-profit agencies. In a 2001 Eagle County Non-Profit Organizations Need/Opportunities Assessment, volunteer recruitment and placement was listed as the ~umber two priority. 2. Program Statistics From January 1, 2005 through March 30, 2005 the program registered 787 volunteers, who provided 7,148 hours of service, valued at $125,443 to 105 local non-profits. 3.
