You are directed to make the changes noted below in the Subject Contract. Appropriations to
cover the costs of additional work have been made.

Nature of Changes: Include a 1 %2" asphalt overlay and leveling course on Highway 6 at the new
Miller Ranch Road and Arrowhead River Ranch access. The overlay and leveling will provide a
smoother and more durable driving surface. This additional work has been mandated by
Colorado Department of Transportation due to recent lane widening and culvert installations on
Highway 6. This change order also includes 10' wide paths connecting the existing bike path
system to the new sidewalks located on Miller Ranch Road. A cost itemization is attached as
Exhibit "A". Of the $102,310.07 cost, Arrowhead River Ranch developers will be responsible
for $42,556.65 of the cost because it corresponds to their portion of the improvements. A letter
of invoice to Arrowhead Valley Developers is attached as Exhibit "B"
These changes result in the following adjustment of Contract Price and Contract Time:

RE: Miller Ranch Road, Arrowhead River Ranch and HWY. 6 Improvements
Dear Mr. Hermes:
As previously discussed with you, Eagle County is preparing to overlay US 6 as part of
the construction of the Miller Ranch Road and Arrowhead River Ranch accesses.
Attached is an updated quote based on a revised bid from B&B to complete the work.
It is expected that the Arrowhead Valley Developers' share of the work will be
approximately $42,556.65. This is different than the amount represented in our February
11, 2004, letter which estimated your portion of the cost at $42,989.85. The changes are
a result of an increase of the extent of US 6 that must be overlaid, and approval to
decrease the overlay thickness from 2" to 1.5" of asphalt.
