JUSTIFICATION FOR CHANGE
1. Brief description of the proposed contract change(s) and location(s).
Change Order No. 4 adds Schedule H and Schedule IV work necessary for substantial completion of the
individual schedules. The contract amount of this work differs from the oruinal bid by B & B Excavating,
Inc., due to the incorporation of some of Schedule H and Schedule IV work into Change Order No. 2.
Additionally, some of Schedule H and Schedule IV work was completed in Schedule I to facilitate the
construction of Schedule I.
2. Reasons for the changes
These schedule additions were due to the power and space requirements of Airport Ground Service
Equipment, and additional parking requirements by the airport.
3. Justifications for unit prices or total cost.
The unit prices reflect the renogotiated unit prices from Schedule I. The total cost of the individual
Schedules is explained in Section 1. Additionally, installation of a Holy Cross transformer vault is included
in Schedule IV. Additional costs for the transformer and splice by Holy Cross will be paid directly by
Eagle County to Holy Cross Energy.
