DEFINITIONS AND PROVISIONS
LONDON PACKAGE
The London Package has certain Definitions and Provisions which need to be
outlined due to Claims -Made Program.
1. Retro -Active Date - is the "inception of claims made form". This
provision establishes no claims for injury or damage that occurred
before the retro -active date will be covered by the policy.
2. Claim - any information which you become aware of and you must
provide written notice to Gallagher Bassett Insurance Service.
3. Accident - an event which occurs on or after the retro -active date
which results in personal injuries and/or property damage.
4. Excess Loss Fund Protection - The limit purchased above the Loss Fund
(Annual Aggregate) that will be used to pay the individual self-insured
retention ($150,000) should the Loss Fund be exhausted. If this limit is
exhausted client is subject to payment of the self-insured retention
established in the initial program.
5. Extended Reporting Period - also known as a "tail", a period of time
which extends the General Liability, Automobile Liability, Employee
Benefits Liability and Errors & Omissions "claims -made" policies
coverage to claims first made after the policy period for injury or
damage that occurred before termination of the policy (but not before
the retro -active date). This extended reporting period is activated
when the policy is cancelled, non -renewed or the retro -active date is
changed.
The London Package has an automatic "mini -tail". This provides
coverage for claims reported within the first sixty (60) days after
expiration which occurred during the previous policy term.
An "Extended Claims -Made Reporting Period" may be purchased for a
maximum charge of 100% of London Package Premium. The reporting
period will be for 24 months (2 years). The Loss Fund is reinstated as
well as all limits. This covers claims made after sixty (60) day
reporting provision that happened during the policy period.
