HomeMy WebLinkAboutC87-052 Letter of Understanding Eagle Computer SystemsLETTER OF UNDERSTANDING fr C87-52-01' WHEREAS, the County of Eagle acting by and though its Board of County Commissioners is desirous of securing the assistances of Eagle Computer Systems to assist the Assessor in preparing the appraisal of real and personal property in Eagle County for tax purposes; and WHEREAS, Eagle Computer Systems (hereinafter ECS) is willing and able to provide the required assistance to the Assessor. THEREFORE, it is agreed that: 1. ECS shall provide technical assistance and the use of the computer equipment on attached Exhibit A for use by the assessor's office. 2. ECS shall make its standard hourly charge for those employees assigned to this project; the range being $50.00 to $85.00 per hour. 3. ECS shall make no charge for the computer equipment on the attached Exhibit A. 4. Eagle County and ECS estimate that no more than 10 to 15 hours of service per week by ECS shall be required, and agree to notify the Chief Administrative Officer in any case more time is required and secure his written approval should more than 15 hours of service be required in any week. 5. Eagle County shall be allowed to convert appraisal data and information compiled on the Wang System with out additional charge by ECS. 6. This agreement shall be in full force and effect from March 1, 1987 until June 30, 1987 and may be extended by agreement of the parties. 7. The assistance by ECS shall be to insure that they have properly installed and operating computer systems and programs in which to enter property tax assessment information in order to print and mail Notice of Valua- tion for real property on or before May 24, 1987. ECS shall also assist in spot checking data entered by the assessor's personnel and notifying the Assessor of remedial action, which should be taken by assessor's personnel should ECS note any deficiency in information being entered by County Personnel 8. ECS shall with all due diligence, endeavor to provide capable personnel, but ECS bears no liability for invalid or improper operating results and damages arising therefrom. Limitation of ilability shall not apply in cases of willful or wanton negligence or misconduct.
